About Us

Rockin’ B Ranch is owned and managed by Rose and Robert English.

Rose is a retired Fort Worth barrel racer, she worked for Tom Lyons cutting horse ranch in Texas during that time. Rose taught riding lessons and guided trail rides for Lazy K Bar Guest Ranch in Tucson, Arizona. She was a Certified Horsemanship Association instructor for both English and western riding, with an emphasis on safety. Studying under several Natural horsemanship trainers over the years, she learned to communicate well and teach her students and horses to be bold and confident. Rose has dedicated her life to the education, development and safety of her horses and students.

Corin Smith serves as our camp coordinator anda riding instructor, she is also a horse care specialist at RBR boarding facility. As an active member of 907 Barrel Racers, and The Alaska Youth Equestrian Club, Corin performs on the drill team, trick riding team and barrel races at many Alaska state rodeos. She brings 3 great horses to the camp program.

Rockin’ B Riding Club was established in 2005 with a well mannered leopard Appaloosa mare named Skip’s Lollipop (aka Shawnee Bug), who was very competitive with Rose in western gaming, a level 1 trained dressage horse and the ultimate babysitter. With her big heart, she was favored by the many students she patiently taught to ride. Shawnee died unexpectedly on 10-9-2006 at the age of 18. RBR lost their most beloved lesson horse. We will never forget our little dalmation spotted, athletic, courageous Bug!

The Rockin’ B Ranch facility was built by the skilled hands of Rose’s ex-husband, Jeff Brigmon.
