Rockin B’ Horse Camps are educational and fun. School age students are taught in a safe and controlled environment how to care for the farm animals in the morning. In the afternoon they learn how horses think, communicate and act. They will learn how to handle, care for, groom, tack up and ride them with confidence. Campers will also learn horse terminology, parts of the tack, anatomy, breeds, colors, hoof care etc. They will be provided daily riding lessons in Western, English and bareback tack, in our indoor and outdoor arenas.

Campers also enjoy scenic trail rides on our adjacent parkland. Camps are for all skill levels, beginner to advance and ages 6 to 18.

A day of camp at Rockin’ B Ranch:

Morning – campers help with ranch chores; fill hay bags, feed animals, turn out horses, clean and bed a stall, turn out and play with the baby farm critters, help milk goats, hold and feed the bunnies.

Noon – Lunch. Campers bring their own healthy lunch, snacks and water bottles. No sugar-loaded food or drinks please.

Afternoon – Campers help groom and  tack up the horses and each ride for up to an hour. There are multiple riding groups, and campers rotate between riding, learning about horses through our curriculum, doing hands on activities with horses not used for riding that day. They may help finish barn chores,  do arts and crafts or play lawn games.

Camps are limited to 4 riders per horse per day and 3 students per instructor (except for int and adv riders). Beginners have a personal handler on the ground to assist them, ensuring personal attention, hands on instruction and complete safety for all students. Rockin’ B Ranch instructors and assistants are trained in our program certification and undergo testing of 4 levels, beginner to advanced western and english disciplines.
